Select your Connecting Tone channels! Each channel comes with 8 rotating songs so you don't have to download on your own. Contents will be updated automatically on 1st of every month, bringing surprises to callers!

How you want to use the tones

You can store up to 15 connecting tones, and choose how you want to use the tones.

Caller Groups

You can assign the callers' phone numbers to the following groups, then preset a different connecting tones to each group.

Friends, Lovers, Families, Colleagues, Others

You can assign up to 20 phone numbers for each group.

Predetermine Playing Time

Surprise your friends on those special dates! For instance, play your friends a birthday song on their birthdays, or play your beloved one a special connecting tone on anniversaries. What's more, you can even set different connecting tones for different time on that special day.

Preset Playing Mode

You can designate a specific connecting tone, or have your stored connecting tones played in sequence or at random.

How to use Connecting Tone Service:

In order to activate Connecting Tone service, you are required to subscribe to Connecting Tone service

 

Step I. Subscribe to Connecting Tone Service (Please go to Step II if you have subscribed the Connecting Tone Service):

  1. Dial #333
  2. Select language; press "1" for Cantonese, press "2" for English, press "3" for Putonghua
  3. Then press "1" to listen to the service introduction
  4. Finally, press "1" again to subscribe to the service, then you can hang up the phone.
  5. You will receive a SMS for confirmation of subscription, then you can start to download connecting tone into your library

 

II. Download Connecting Tone to your library:

  1. Dial #333
  2. Select language, press "1" for Cantonese, press "2" for English, press "3" for Putonghua
  3. Press "2" to download connecting tone
  4. Press "9" to download connecting tone directly via short code (if you have already got the code); or follow the instruction to download connecting tone
  5. Once finished, press "#" to return to the main menu.

 

III. Assign phone numbers into Caller Group:

  1. Go to the main menu (after language selection) and press "3" to setup your own Connecting Tone Profile
  2. Press "3" to assign phone number or to check the phone number you have assigned
  3. Select Caller Group1 (1-Families, 2-Lovers, 3-Friends, 4-Colleagues, 5-Others)
  4. Press "1" to assign phone number.
  5. Follow the instruction to assign phone numbers into different caller groups.
  6. Once finished, press "#" to return to the main menu.

 

IV. Setup Caller Groups' Connecting Tone:

  1. Go to the main menu (after language selection) and press "3" to setup your own Connecting Tone Profile
  2. Press "3" to select the caller group's connecting tone
  3. Select Caller Group1 (1-Families, 2-Lovers, 3-Friends, 4-Colleagues, 5-Others)
  4. Press "3" to setup connecting tones into caller groups
  5. Pre-listen the connecting tone in your library and then press "1" to confirm.
  6. Once finished, press "*" to assign another caller group's connecting tone by repeating no.2-5

 

Step V. Setup the Predetermine Playing Time Connecting Tone3：

  1. Go to the main menu (after language selection) and press "3" to setup your own Connecting Tone schedule
  2. Press "4" to set the schedule
  3. Enter start date & time with 10 digits (YYYY/MM/DD HH; e.g. start at 2p.m., please enter 14)
  4. Press "1" to confirm the start date and time
  5. Enter end date & time with 10 digits (YYYY/MM/DD HH; e.g. end at 8a.m., please enter 08)
  6. Press "1" to confirm the end date and time
  7. Press “9” and enter your friend's phone number
  8. Press "1" to confirm your friend's phone number
  9. Pre-listen the connecting tone in your library and then press "1" to confirm.
  10. To set another schedule, repeat no.1-9.

 

Remarks：

  1. Each caller group can store up to 20 phone numbers.
  2. To assign connecting tone into caller group, you must assign phone number into that caller group beforehand
  3. You can set up to 20 schedules but each schedule's start and end date must be within 3 months.

Terms & Conditions

  • Connecting Tone Service is applicable to registered CMHK service plan customers and CMHK Prepaid SIM Card customers.
  • Connecting Tone Service is also applicable to Roaming Service, however, the availability of service depends on the support of overseas local network operators. If Customer has also registered for Hong Kong Ringback Tone Service, please temporarily cancel Connecting Tone Service by calling #333 before leaving Hong Kong.
  • "Caller Groups" and "Predetermine Playing Time" features are not applicable to callers who are roaming abroad.
  • If customer has registered for Connecting Tone Service, but has not yet downloaded a connecting tone, all callers will hear a default connecting tone pre-set by the system.
  • If customer forwards the incoming call to another phone number, or deactivates Connecting Tone Service, all callers will only hear the conventional connecting tone.
  • The default Playing Mode plays the connecting tones in sequence.
  • Connecting tones that have been placed in "Caller Groups" will not be played in "in sequence" or "at random" playing mode.
  • Customer can set up to 20 "Playing Time" and each setting is valid for up to 3 months.
  • Connecting Tone Service is only applicable to "Line 1 Number" when using "Dual Number Service".
  • If a Stored Value SIM Card does not carry sufficient value for the deduction of Connecting Tone Service monthly charge, the service will be suspended and all stored connecting tones will be deleted automatically.
  • Customers are required to pay for the service, even if the connecting tone has not been downloaded successfully due to any reasons, or has been downloaded by accident.
  • CMHK reserves the right to make changes to the content and charges of the service without prior notice.
  • In case of any dispute, CMHK reserves the right to the final decision.
